Thank you for visiting my web site!

I was born in Oslo, Norway in 1966. I am married and have three children.

I took my name from my grandmother, who was a woman with low self-esteem, and she lived her life believing everybody were better than her, that she was nothing. Those are beliefs I started a war against in my own life. I made it a wish to be able to put thoughts like that to shame, just to prove that something really good came from her. The title track on my album "Beautiful Girl" is a song dedicated to her, and to all great women in the world who struggle with believing in themselves.

I have loved music all my life. I started to play the piano and violin when I was 7 years old. I sang as soon I had the chance, and I was happy to start my singing career in choirs. In my teens I took singing lessons, and I started dreaming about the having a career as a singer/songwriter. I have written songs for about 20 years.

Over the past 16 years, I had the pleasure of singing in studios for at least 11 different projects.

I did backup vocals for a band called Growing Up To Be A Child for several years. The band played everything from U2-inspired rock to Christian worship hymns. One of the most fun periods of my life was the tours with the band, and some of the other music projects I participated in at the time. I simply love working in a studio!

Now it's time for me to explore my possibilities with the music I have written myself, and I am always looking for people with an interest to explore music with me; to go on tours, have concerts and have fun with music. Maybe with a band, or simply with an acoustic guitar and some instruments to go with.

I enjoy to do intimate concerts in cafés and bars, accompanied by a guitarist. The last three years I have been at a private festival called "Låveråkk" (barn rock). I also sing in weddings and funerals.

Among my recent recordings were with Roger Helmers. I do lead vocals and backing vocals on several of the songs on his new album, "Yonder - Distant But Within Sight." Read more about Roger's project at www.yonder.no.
